Transforming lives of bright students from poor families by steadily increasing their opportunities to join secondary school.
Helping bright and needy students from poor families to join secondary school is our way of transforming families’ lives by reducing poverty. But that is only half the battle; the other half is ensuring successful completion. Once enrolled, the foundation staff and corporate group mentors track the progress and academic performance of our students to ensure successful completion of secondary school, through a robust mentorship program.
It is our dream that the underprivileged backgrounds of our students will no longer serve to hinder their ability to contribute to the growth of our country.
Over the last 8 years, the scholarship fund has supported over 500 students. We have suparssed our goal of supporting more than 500 deserving students as to date we have supported 537 scholars. The increased number of scholarships that we offer would not be possible without the support of the Family Group of Companies that includes: Family Bank, Kenya Orient Insurance, Kenya Orient Life Assurance, Daykio Plantations and Alpha Asset Managers. This has seen our mission to equalize opportunities for education for children from poor families achieved.
