AGRIBUSINESS
The Family Group Foundation and the Israeli Embassy, Nairobi, with the support of AJW Africa have designed and intend to pilot a job creation program that will connect cohorts of Kenyan college students who have received an 11-month Agricultural training in Israel through MASHAV (Israel’s agency for international development cooperation), with employment opportunities. The program was piloted with 300 beneficiaries within 4 counties i.e., Kiambu, Meru, Kajiado and Nakuru. Each farm has 25 greenhouses owned by 3 beneficiaries each.
After the MASHAV Alumni have received world-class training on the best agricultural practice and technology in Israel, the program offers;
- Training on automated Hydroponic Greenhouse farming
- Access to Startup financing, working capital and Asset finance
- Access to Land
- Access to Markets
- Access to Farm extension services
