Reforestation Effort
Restoring Nature, Securing Tomorrow
Known as the “Adopt a Forest” initiative, this project was launched in 2022 in partnership with the Ministry of Environment & Forestry and the Kenya Forest Service (KFS) and Green Blue Foundation Africa(GBFA)
The objective was to restore the Ngong Hills Forest Ecosystem, which faces threats from encroachment, deforestation, and invasive species. The project focuses on 10 acres of land at Corner Baridi
Impact:
1). 17,000+ tree seedlings have been planted.
2). 80% survival rate of the planted trees, ensuring long-term restoration success.
The project provides ecological services to the local community and protects the watershed.
