Catherine Akinyi, a Form 4 student at Olatipis Girls School, walked into the KCSE Boot Camp hopeful but uncertain. With exams fast approaching, she knew she needed clarity, confidence, and the right guidance to face the final stretch of her high school journey.

Like many students preparing for national exams, Catherine carried the quiet pressure of expectation to succeed, to rise above challenges, and to honour the opportunity she had been given. She wanted to excel, not just for herself, but for the people who believed in her.

The Boot Camp, supported by The Family Group Foundation, became a turning point.

For the first time, Catherine had direct access to KCSE examiners, professionals who understood the exam from the inside out. They broke down concepts, answered every question she had, and shared strategies that immediately strengthened her approach to revision.

This interaction didn’t just sharpen her academic skills; it shifted her mindset.

Catherine left the sessions with renewed confidence.
She now feels ready for the upcoming KCSE exams.

The Foundation’s support has meant more than school fees; it has been a constant reminder that someone believes in her potential. That belief fuels her determination to work harder, study smarter, and aim higher.

As she puts it, “I am motivated to give my best so that I can make them proud.”

The boot camp also taught her that it’s never too late to change the outcome, even with only two months left.

Catherine dreams of becoming an accountant. Her love for mathematics, her fascination with numbers, and her desire to build a stable future all point her in that direction.

She hopes to build a career where digits, precision, and problem-solving define her daily work, a future she now sees as fully within reach.
