Dustin Clive Anthony Opondo
While in Form 4 at Machakos School, Dustin joined the Family Group Foundation Academic Bootcamp, and the experience shaped the way he approached both his exams and his future.
“The bootcamp was amazing,” Dustin recalls. “Interacting with teachers, examiners, fellow students, and the board of directors made us feel at home. I learned techniques and strategies that made me confident and ready for my exams.”
Beyond academics, the bootcamp helped Dustin discover his potential. Mentorship sessions guided him to understand his strengths, work on his weaknesses, and build the confidence needed to pursue his dreams. “It wasn’t just about passing exams,” he says. “It was about realizing I can be better and change my story.”
Now a high school graduate, Dustin looks ahead to higher education abroad, with a dream of becoming a neurosurgeon specializing in brain and blood vessel surgery, a dream he has had since childhood. The skills, guidance, and motivation he gained from the bootcamp continue to inspire him as he takes the next steps toward that goal.
The Family Group Foundation Academic Bootcamps give students like Dustin the tools, mentorship, and confidence to succeed, both in exams and beyond. For students preparing to finish high school, these bootcamps offer an opportunity to sharpen skills, discover potential, and prepare for the future.
